Glyn School is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Academic Mentor to provide additional learning support for students in Maths and Science.
Glyn School is looking to appoint a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Mentor to support students address gaps in their learning, impacted by Covid-19 disruption. Working with Faculty Leaders and Subject Leaders, you will provide personalised support for specific student cohorts across Key Stages KS3, KS4 and KS5. You will:
• Develop and deliver lesson plans in classroom and intervention sessions
• Utilize effective teaching and learning strategies
• Provide targeted revision sessions in 1:1 or group settings and
• Provide further support for students who are shielding or not in school.
We are specifically looking for candidates with expertise in Maths and would welcome applications from candidates with additional capacity to offer support in Science. You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.
This role will be well suited for candidates who are currently academic tutors, experienced teachers looking for flexibility, HLTA's or gap year students from universities with specific subject knowledge. Pay Scale: GLF Associate Staff, Associate 3
Working hours: Full-time or Part-time
Pro-rata Annual Salary: £18,170 (for working 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)
